Privacy Policy

MyeKraz is based in Canada and serves visitors around the world. We do not sell your data. This page explains, in plain words, what we collect, why, and what you can ask us to do.

Website statistics

We use two analytics tools to count visits and see which pages are popular: Vercel Analytics (from our hosting provider) and Simplify Analytics. They record information about your visit, such as which pages you viewed. We also use Vercel Speed Insights to measure how fast pages load on visitors' devices. We use this only to improve the site.

Google Analytics and cookies

We use Google Analytics, which places cookies in your browser to measure visits (for example pages viewed, time on site, device type and approximate location). Google processes this data, possibly outside your country, under its own privacy terms. We do not use Google's advertising features and we never sell data.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time, or install Google's Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Micronutrient quiz

Your quiz answers are saved only in your own browser (using "local storage") so you can continue later. Your answers themselves are never sent to us unless you ask us to email your report. Click "Start Over" in the quiz to delete them.

We also keep anonymous counts to understand how the site is used — for example "a quiz was started", "a quiz was finished", "the BMI calculator was used", or "iron was a top result" (to choose topics for new videos). These are only running totals per day. They contain no answers, no name, no email, no IP address and no cookie, and cannot be linked back to you.

Emailing your quiz report

If you ask for your report by email, we send your email address and quiz answers to our server to build the report, and we send it with Amazon Simple Email Service (Amazon SES). Because your answers can include health information (for example pregnancy or medicines), we only do this after you tick a box to agree. We use your answers only to create that one email and do not keep them afterwards. We do not add you to any mailing list unless you also tick the newsletter box.

If you tick the box to join our newsletter, we store your email address in a mailing list hosted by Amazon SES and send you an email about every two weeks. We also keep a record of when and where you agreed, as Canadian anti-spam law (CASL) requires. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and we process unsubscribes promptly. You can also ask us to delete your address at any time.

YouTube videos

Our videos are embedded from YouTube in its "privacy-enhanced mode" (youtube-nocookie.com). YouTube does not set tracking cookies until you press play. When you play a video, YouTube (Google) processes data under its own privacy policy.

Contacting us

If you write to us through the contact form, we receive your name, email address and message by email (sent through Amazon SES) and use them only to reply to you.

Where your data is processed

Our website host (Vercel), our email service (Amazon Web Services) and our analytics providers may process data on servers outside your country, including in the United States. They are bound by their own privacy and security commitments.

Your rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us to see, correct or delete the data we hold about you, or withdraw your consent at any time. We follow Canada's privacy law (PIPEDA) and respect the rights given by other laws, such as Quebec's Law 25 and the European GDPR. To make a request, use our contact form. We aim to reply within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or your local data-protection authority.
